The relevant regulations are:<\/p>\n<p>2011\/65\/EU and 2015\/863: RoHS Directive<br \/>\n1907\/2006\/EC: REACH Regulation<br \/>\n1005\/2009\/EC: Regulation on substances that deplete the ozone layer<br \/>\nElektroStoffV: Electrical and Electronic Equipment Materials Regulation<\/p>\n<h2 class=\"fusion-responsive-typography-calculated\" data-fontsize=\"28\" data-lineheight=\"36.4px\">RoHS<\/h2>\n<p><strong>Directive 2011\/65\/EU and 2015\/863 (RoHS 3) of the European Parliament and of the Council of 8 June 2011 on the restriction of the use of certain hazardous substances in electrical and electronic equipment.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Directive 2011\/65\/EU (RoHS II) restricts the use of lead, cadmium, mercury, hexavalent chromium, polybrominated biphenyls (PBB) and polybrominated diphenyl ether (PBDE) in certain electrical and electronic equipment (EEE). This directive came into force in July 2011 and completely replaces the old directive 2006\/95\/EC (RoHS) since January 3, 2013. In RoHS II a process was introduced to add additional substances in the future (similar to REACH). bda connectivity will continue to monitor the process and react to possible further restrictions of substances.<\/p>\n<p>Regardless of the scope of the RoHS II Directive, all products are in compliance with the 2011\/65\/EU Directive (RoHS II) on the restriction of the use of certain hazardous substances in electrical and electronic equipment. These products do not contain any of the banned substances specified in the RoHS II directive or the maximum permitted concentrations specified therein, taking into account the exceptions provided for in Annex III of the directive.<\/p>\n<h2 class=\"fusion-responsive-typography-calculated\" data-fontsize=\"28\" data-lineheight=\"36.4px\">REACH<\/h2>\n<p><strong>Regulation (EC) No 1907\/2006 of the European Parliament and of the Council of 18 December 2006 concerning the registration, evaluation, authorisation and restriction of chemicals.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>With the REACH Regulation, the EU has created a uniform system for the registration, evaluation, authorisation and restriction of chemicals, which aims to ensure a high level of protection for human health and the environment.<\/p>\n<p>REACH entered into force on 1 June 2007 and replaces a large number of previously applicable requirements on the material properties of products, as previously summarised in Directive 76\/769\/EEC on the approximation of the laws, regulations and administrative provisions of the Member States relating to restrictions on the marketing and use of certain dangerous substances and preparations.<\/p>\n<p>bda connectivity complies with all authorization requirements for substances according to REACH Annex XIV and the manufacturing, marketing and use restrictions according to REACH Annex XVII.<\/p>\n<p>We constantly evaluate the \u201ccandidate list\u201d published by the European Chemicals Agency, which lists the substances of very high concern (SVHC), and initiate appropriate substitution measures. As a result, we are also well prepared for the regular extensions of the candidate list.
