bda connectivity as host for a delegation of the Chamber of Industry and Commerce of the Lahn-Dill district.
On September 5, the business delegation of the Chamber of Industry and Commerce of the Lahn-Dill district visited bda connectivity. One of the managing directors, Eike Barczynski, presented the development of the company to the visitors – from the Asslarer Hütte in the 19th century to the latest company history, the takeover of the cable division and the associated reorientation of the company. “As our own company, we have become stronger and more flexible in the cable sector. We can approach new markets and expand our product range individually and more customer-oriented”.
The employees are highly motivated and see the new start as a way of safeguarding their jobs. This can also be seen when you are guided through production; the enthusiasm when it comes to the “perfect cable” is noticeable to everyone. And to ensure that the future is secured with well-trained specialists, bda connectivity also trains apprentices. “We are currently training industrial clerks. However, we plan to extend the training to the industrial sector as early as next year”. Most of bda’s 76 employees come from Asslar itself. “By the end of the year we will be 80”, the managing director gives an outlook on the future. “The fact that we are preserving jobs and even creating new ones has also helped us to obtain support from the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF),” reports Eike Barczynski, praising the advice provided by the Chamber of Industry and Commerce (IHK) Lahn-Dill on setting up the company.
The company was visited by District Administrator (Landrat) Wolfgang Schuster, First District Councillor (Erster Kreisbeigeordneter) Roland Esch, Managing Director of the IHK Lahn-Dill Burghard Loewe, Chairman of the Management Board of the r Employment Agency Limburg-Wetzla Angelika Berbuir, Asslar’s Mayor Christian Schwarz and the Head of the District Economic Development Committee Anselme Champollion.
